18th Meeting of Empowered Task Force on Ganga Rejuvenation Held in Delhi

The Ministry of Jal Shakti, under the chairmanship of Union Minister C.R. Paatil, held the 18th meeting of the Empowered Task Force on Ganga Rejuvenation on March 30, 2026. The meeting, which included key stakeholders from central and state governments, reviewed projects under the National Mission for Clean Ganga. With 524 projects sanctioned and 355 completed, 17 new Sewage Treatment Plants were commissioned this fiscal year. Emphasis was placed on policy reforms, water reuse, aquifer mapping, and wetland conservation as part of sustainable water management efforts, furthering the Namami Gange Programme.
