19th Empowered Task Force Meeting Reviews Ganga Rejuvenation Progress

The Empowered Task Force (ETF) on Ganga Rejuvenation, chaired by Jal Shakti Minister Shri C.R. Paatil, held its 19th meeting to review the progress of the Namami Gange Programme. The meeting emphasized the need for accelerated project implementation, reuse of treated wastewater, groundwater management, and institutional coordination. Key achievements included the sanctioning of 524 projects with a total cost of ₹43,031 crore, and the completion of 363 projects. The Minister directed stakeholders to expedite the completion of ongoing projects while ensuring quality and safety standards are met for treated wastewater reuse.
