2025 Year-End Review Highlights India's Economic and Innovation Growth
The Ministry of Commerce & Industry has published a comprehensive review of India’s economic and industrial advancements for the year 2025, focusing on key initiatives that have bolstered manufacturing, exports, and infrastructure. The Production Linked Incentive schemes have catalyzed investment across 14 key sectors, fostering significant upticks in employment and production. Startup India continues to thrive with over 200,000 recognized entities fueling job creation. The Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) is democratizing e-commerce, processing over 326 million orders. Efforts to ease business operations have led to over 47,000 regulatory compliances being reduced, enhancing the business climate across the country. The PM GatiShakti National Master Plan and National Industrial Corridor Development Programme aim to revolutionize infrastructure and logistics through integrated multimodal connectivity. Additionally, India’s ranking in the Global Innovation Index has improved remarkably, showcasing leadership in intellectual property rights.
