2025 Year-End Review: Ministry of Rural Development Highlights Progress in Land Records and Watershed Management

In its 2025 year-end review, the Ministry of Rural Development reported significant advancements in the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) and the Watershed Development Component of the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (WDC-PMKSY). The DILRMP has achieved near-total saturation with digital land records accessible to citizens in 19 states and facilitated digital mortgage verification in banks. Meanwhile, the WDC-PMKSY has successfully enhanced water and land management infrastructure, benefiting over 4.86 lakh farmers through various initiatives like Watershed Yatra and Watershed Mahotsav campaigns aimed at increasing public participation.
