Accelerating PNG Network Expansion: MoHUA and MoPNG Collaborative Review

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) and the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) convened a review meeting to discuss the rapid expansion of Piped Natural Gas (PNG) infrastructure in 110 priority Geographic Areas across India. The focus was on expediting permissions, approvals, and ensuring uninterrupted essential services. Senior officials and representatives from various states, districts, and City Gas Distribution (CGD) units participated, emphasizing a coordinated, mission-mode approach for PNG expansion. Enhanced monitoring, streamlined processes, and awareness campaigns were pivotal aspects aimed at boosting consumer adoption and timely implementation of PNG services.
