The Ministry of Education has adopted a zero-tolerance policy towards the piracy of NCERT textbooks, leading to the seizure of over 5 lakh pirated copies and the arrest of multiple individuals involved in the illegal trade. Recent raids in Muzaffarnagar and Haryana resulted in significant confiscations, including printing machinery and plates. NCERT is implementing measures to improve textbook quality and availability while introducing technology-based anti-piracy solutions to combat the issue.
