Agriculture Minister Approves Record Rabi Crop Procurement

Union Agriculture Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has granted approval for the procurement of over 18 lakh metric tonnes of Rabi crops at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Karnataka, valued at over Rs 11,698 crore. This decision is aimed at providing remunerative prices to farmers for their produce. The procurement will cover gram, mustard, masoor, and kusum (safflower) under the Price Support Scheme (PSS), helping farmers avoid selling their crops at unprofitable prices.
