AI and ML Integration in National Sample Survey

The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) is enhancing the National Sample Survey (NSS) by integrating AI and ML technologies to improve data collection and reporting processes. The use of digital platforms, such as Computer Assisted Personal Interview (CAPI), allows for real-time data submission and validation, significantly reducing report release times. New survey methods and technologies are continuously explored, with recent implementations in enterprise surveys like CAPEX and ASUSE. Short duration surveys have also been introduced to meet the demand for high-frequency socio-economic indicators.
