AI Enhancements Revolutionize Indian e-Court Systems
The Indian Ministry of Law and Justice has announced significant advancements in the integration of AI technologies within the judiciary system. The eCourts Project is leveraging AI, ML, NLP, and OCR to enhance judicial processes, including translation, prediction, and administrative tasks. Notable developments include Legal Research Analysis Assistant (LegRAA) for judges, Digital Courts 2.1 with voice-to-text features, and AI tools for defect identification in coordination with IIT Madras. AI modules like SUPACE are in development to aid case analysis.
