Amendment of Rule 37 of CCS(Pension) Rules, 2021

The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions has amended Rule 37(29)(c) of the CCS (Pension) Rules, 2021. The amendment states that dismissal or removal from service of an employee in a public sector undertaking after absorption for misconduct will result in forfeiture of retirement benefits for government service. This decision is subject to review by the concerned ministry. The amendment follows a Supreme Court order from January 2023 regarding a specific case.
