Annual Review Meeting of Public Sector Banks

Union Minister for Finance, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, chaired an annual review meeting with MDs and CEOs of Public Sector Banks in New Delhi, focusing on financial performance, inclusive lending, and customer-centric innovation. PSBs reported a record net profit of ₹1.78 lakh crore for FY 2024-25, with net NPAs declining to 0.52%. The meeting emphasized the importance of financial inclusion, corporate lending, and enhancing customer experience, while directing banks to participate in a Financial Inclusion campaign starting July 2025.
