APEDA Launches BHARATI Initiative to Enhance Agri-Food Exports
The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) has launched the BHARATI initiative, aimed at empowering 100 agri-food startups to drive innovation and boost exports to a target of $50 billion by 2030. The initiative, which will begin its pilot cohort in September 2025, focuses on advanced technologies and aims to strengthen India's global competitiveness in the agri-food sector. It includes a three-month acceleration program for selected startups, addressing challenges in product development, quality assurance, and logistics, while fostering collaboration among stakeholders.
