AQI Improvement Leads CAQM to Lift Stage-III GRAP Restrictions in NCR

The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has revoked Stage-III restrictions of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) for the National Capital Region (NCR) as Delhi's air quality index (AQI) shows a steady improvement. This decision comes after Delhi's AQI dropped from 391 on November 23rd to 327 on November 26th. Despite predicting that AQI levels will remain in the 'Very Poor' category, the move was influenced by the adverse impacts of Stage-III restrictions on the public and various stakeholders. Measures from Stages I & II remain in place with vigilant monitoring to prevent the need for re-enforcement of Stage-III restrictions. Construction sites and other sectors must adhere to specific guidelines and the citizen charter to maintain and further improve air quality.
