ARCI Inaugurates Pilot Plant for Nd-Fe-B Magnets in Hyderabad
The International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI) in Hyderabad has launched a pilot plant for manufacturing Nd-Fe-B rare earth permanent magnets. Inaugurated by Prof. Abhay Karandikar, Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology, this facility aims to enhance India's self-reliance in critical materials used in sectors such as electric vehicles, renewable energy, and electronics. The plant is poised to foster innovation, catalyze industry participation, and support the commercialization of indigenous technologies, aligning with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat 2047.
