Ashadha Purnima Celebrated at Sarnath

The International Buddhist Confederation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and the Mahabodhi Society of India, celebrated Ashadha Purnima at Sarnath, marking the Dhammachakra Pravartana Divas, the day Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon. The event included a mindful parikrama around the Dhamek Stupa, reflections from esteemed monastics, and emphasized the importance of Buddhist unity and interfaith harmony. The celebration also marked the beginning of Varsha Vassa, a traditional monastic rains retreat.
