The Ministry of Panchayati Raj has announced the release of XV Finance Commission grants amounting to over Rs. 299 crores for 2025-26 to Panchayati Raj Institutions and Rural Local Bodies in Assam. This includes a second installment of untied grants and withheld portions of the first installment for District Panchayats, Block Panchayats, Gram Panchayats, and Autonomous District Councils in Assam.
