Awareness Program for Livestock Farmers in Western and Southern States

The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying organized a virtual awareness program for livestock farmers across Western and Southern States/UTs on July 11, 2025. Chaired by Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel, the program aimed to enhance farmers' knowledge on critical aspects of animal husbandry, including breed improvement and vaccination. The price of Sex-Sorted Semen (SSS) was significantly reduced to make it more accessible. Over 1 lakh farmers participated from 2,000 locations, emphasizing the importance of timely vaccination and disease control measures.
