Awareness Session on NMMSS Held in Meerut

The Ministry of Education's Department of School Education and Literacy organized an awareness session on the National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on August 2, 2025. The session aimed to inform District Nodal Officers and school heads about the scholarship scheme designed to assist economically weaker students in completing their secondary education. The session emphasized the importance of timely application verification on the National Scholarship Portal and provided guidance on the registration process, common errors, and the two-level verification system. The NMMSS offers 15,000 scholarships annually in Uttar Pradesh, with a scholarship amount of Rs. 12,000 per year, disbursed through Direct Benefit Transfer.
