Bihar Achieves Safe Drinking Water Milestone Under Jal Jeevan Mission

As part of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), Bihar has achieved a significant milestone by providing all its rural habitations with safe drinking water free from arsenic and fluoride contamination. The initiative, supported by a central fund of Rs. 770.95 crore since 2019, ensures clean water through a developed Integrated Management Information System (IMIS) and Water Quality Management Information System (WQMIS). These systems allow for effective online monitoring and public access to water quality information, fostering transparency and community confidence in water safety.
