Bihar Advances PACS Digitalization Efforts to Enhance Farmer Support

In a significant modernization effort, the government of Bihar has initiated the computerization of its 8,463 Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) to boost efficiency and service reach to farmers. As of now, 4,477 PACS have been successfully computerized, improving transparency and operations. Additionally, many PACS have diversified services enhancing their role in the rural economy. This initiative is complemented by the 'World’s Largest Grain Storage Plan in Cooperative Sector', further empowering PACS with enhanced infrastructure and services for farmers.
