Bihar's Cooperatives Undergo Digital Transformation with PACS Modernisation

The Ministry of Cooperation has been actively monitoring the progress of the computerization project of Primary Agriculture Credit Societies (PACS) in Bihar, ensuring enhanced workflow and integration with state portals and cooperative banking systems. PACS are being transformed into multi-service hubs to support various government schemes such as PM Fasal Bima Yojana, and efforts have been made to develop infrastructure, including the construction of godowns and micro-ATMs. Financial assistance from NABARD, alongside substantial fund allocations for IT interventions, is expected to further bolster the cooperative sector, emphasizing digitization, rural healthcare, and women's empowerment, aiming for an all-encompassing development strategy.
