Boosting MSME Export Ecosystem: A Comprehensive Government Initiative
The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) in India is driving initiatives to bolster the sector's export potential through significant programs like the International Cooperation Scheme and Export Promotion Mission (EPM). Over the past five years, these schemes have aided 1,361 MSMEs to participate in international exhibits. Additionally, the launch of EPM on November 12, 2025, aims to provide a digitally-driven framework for export promotion with a massive budget allocation extending to 2030-31. This initiative seeks to enhance the readiness and competitiveness of MSMEs through various supports, including trade finance, international branding, and infrastructure development, contributing to the rise in MSME's share in merchandise exports to 48.55% for 2024-25.
