The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nipman Foundation and Young Leaders for Active Citizenship (YLAC) to launch the Breaking Barriers Fellowship. This initiative aims to place young professionals in DEPwD offices to enhance policy support and implement the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016. The fellowship focuses on capacity building, mentorship, and promoting disability inclusion in policymaking, with a commitment to transparency and merit-based selection.
