The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) Project Swastik marked its 65th Raising Day on October 1, 2025, celebrating its achievements in road construction and maintenance in Sikkim. Since 1960, it has built over 1,412 km of roads and 80 bridges, ensuring connectivity in challenging terrains. The project has also launched new welfare initiatives for its workforce and plans to invest Rs. 1,152.66 crore in further infrastructure projects, including the Western Sikkim Highway.
