Budgetary Allocation and Fund Utilization for Tribal Welfare

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs is implementing the Development Action Plan for Scheduled Tribes (DAPST) to enhance the welfare of tribal communities in India. This involves collaboration with 41 other ministries that allocate a portion of their budgets for various projects in education, health, agriculture, and more. An online monitoring system has been established to track fund utilization, and state governments are required to allocate funds proportionate to the tribal population. The Eklavya Model Residential School scheme aims to provide quality education to tribal students, with 728 schools approved and 479 currently operational.
