The Ministry of Labour & Employment has announced budgetary allocations for the financial year 2025-26 aimed at enhancing employment opportunities for Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), Other Backward Classes (OBCs), and Minority Communities. Key initiatives include the 'Welfare of SC/ST Jobseekers Scheme' with an allocation of Rs. 20.61 Crore, and the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme, which aims to create over 3.5 Crore jobs with a budget of Rs. 99,446 Crore. The Ministry of Minority Affairs is also focusing on skill development for minorities through the PM VIKAS scheme, with a budget of Rs. 267.29 Crore.
