Cabinet Approves 4-Lane Marakkanam-Puducherry Highway Project
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the construction of a 4-lane highway from Marakkanam to Puducherry in Tamil Nadu, spanning 46 km, with a total capital cost of Rs. 2,157 crore. This project aims to alleviate congestion on the existing 2-lane NH-332A, improve safety, and enhance connectivity between key economic and social nodes, including major cities and transport hubs. It is expected to generate significant employment opportunities and boost regional economic growth.
