Cabinet Approves 57 New Kendriya Vidyalayas Across India
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the establishment of 57 new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) to meet the educational needs of Central Government employees' wards, with a budget of over Rs. 5862 crore. This initiative aims to enhance educational access in underserved regions and includes the introduction of Balvatikas for foundational education. The project is expected to benefit approximately 86,640 students and create 4,617 permanent jobs, reinforcing the government's commitment to quality education and inclusivity as per the National Education Policy 2020.
