Cabinet Approves Doubling of Railway Line in Bihar

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the doubling of the Bakhtiyarpur – Rajgir – Tilaiya railway line in Bihar, costing Rs. 2,192 crore. This project will enhance rail connectivity to key destinations, improve transportation of goods, and support local development by connecting 1,434 villages. It aims to reduce logistics costs, lower CO2 emissions, and align with the PM-Gati Shakti National Master Plan for integrated planning.
