Cabinet Approves Export Promotion Mission with Rs.25,060 Crore Outlay

The Union Cabinet has approved the Export Promotion Mission (EPM) to enhance India's export competitiveness, particularly for MSMEs and first-time exporters. With an outlay of Rs.25,060 crore for FY 2025–26 to FY 2030–31, EPM aims to consolidate fragmented schemes into a single adaptive framework. It includes two sub-schemes: NIRYAT PROTSAHAN for trade finance access and NIRYAT DISHA for market readiness. The mission addresses challenges like limited trade finance and high compliance costs, focusing on sectors affected by global tariff escalations.
