Cabinet Approves Extension of Gujarat Metro Rail Corridor
The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the extension of the North-South corridor of Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation Limited from GIFT City to Shahpur. This 3.33-kilometer extension will include three elevated stations and is expected to be completed in four years at a cost of Rs. 1,067.35 crore. The project is projected to benefit thousands of passengers and generate significant employment opportunities.
