Cabinet Approves Jaipur Metro Project Phase-2
The Union Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved Jaipur Metro Phase-2, a major infrastructure project expected to enhance public transport in Jaipur. The project will cost ₹13,037.66 crore, covering a 41 km North–South corridor from Prahladpura to Todi Mod with 36 stations. Managed by the Rajasthan Metro Rail Corporation Limited, it aims to improve urban mobility, reduce traffic congestion, and support sustainable transport in alignment with Rajasthan TOD Policy-2025.
