Cabinet Approves Major Highway Development in Uttar Pradesh
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the construction of a 4-lane access-controlled National Highway-927 between Barabanki and Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh. The project, costing Rs. 6969.04 crore, seeks to address road safety and congestion issues, enhance connectivity, and boost regional development. It is set to improve cross-border trade with Nepal by establishing a vital corridor to the Rupaidiha Land Port, while also supporting PM GatiShakti's logistics initiatives.
