Cabinet Approves Major Highway Project in Maharashtra
The Indian Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has greenlit a 6-lane greenfield highway project in Maharashtra, connecting Nashik to Solapur and Akkalkot. The project, valued at Rs.19,142 crore, will be constructed on a BOT (Toll) basis and aims to reduce travel time by 17 hours while creating over 500 lakh man-days of employment. It forms part of the PM Gatishakti National Master Plan to bolster regional economic growth and enhance logistics efficiency.
