Cabinet Approves Major Rail Multitracking Projects
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved two significant multitracking projects by the Ministry of Railways, costing Rs 6,405 crore. These projects will enhance the railway network by 318 Kms across Jharkhand, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh, improving travel convenience, reducing logistics costs, and supporting sustainable operations. The initiatives are expected to create 108 lakh human-days of employment during construction and enhance connectivity to approximately 1,408 villages, benefiting a population of about 28.19 lakh.
