Cabinet Approves MSP Increase for Rabi Crops 2026-27
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved an increase in Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for Rabi crops for the marketing season 2026-27, ensuring better remuneration for farmers. The highest increase is for Safflower at Rs.600 per quintal, followed by Lentil at Rs.300. Other crops like Rapeseed & Mustard, Gram, Barley, and Wheat also see significant increases, promoting crop diversification and aligning with the Union Budget's MSP policy.
