Cabinet Approves Nashik-Solapur-Akkalkot Corridor

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the construction of a 374 km six-lane greenfield corridor from Nashik to Solapur-Akkalkot in Maharashtra. The project, estimated to cost Rs.19,142 crore and implemented on a BOT (Toll) model, aims to enhance regional connectivity and reduce travel time and distance significantly. It is part of the PM Gatishakti National Master Plan, boosting infrastructure and economic development in the region.
