Cabinet Approves New Coastal Highway Construction in Odisha
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the construction of a new coastal highway from Rameshwar to Paradeep in Odisha on a Hybrid Annuity Model. The project spans a total of 160.18 km, designed to improve regional mobility and boost socio-economic development across Khurda, Puri, Kendrapada, and Jagatsinghpur Districts. The highway is expected to reduce travel time, fuel consumption, and emissions, aligning with PM GatiShakti principles to enhance India's logistic performance.
