Cabinet Approves NH-326 Expansion in Odisha

The Union Cabinet of India, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved a significant infrastructure project to widen and strengthen a portion of NH-326 in Odisha. The project involves upgrading the existing 2-lane highway to include paved shoulders, spanning from Km 68.600 to Km 311.700. This initiative, valued at Rs.1,526.21 crore, aims to enhance travel safety and efficiency, thereby fostering economic growth in southern Odisha's districts, including Gajapati, Rayagada, and Koraput. The enhanced connectivity is anticipated to benefit local industries, tourism, and communities by improving access to key services and markets.
