Cabinet Approves Nutrient Based Subsidy Rates for Rabi 2025-26

The Union Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the Nutrient Based Subsidy (NBS) rates for Phosphatic and Potassic (P&K) fertilizers for the Rabi season 2025-26, with a budgetary requirement of approximately Rs. 37,952.29 crore. This marks an increase of Rs. 736 crore compared to the Kharif season. The subsidy aims to ensure the availability of fertilizers at affordable prices for farmers, considering recent international price trends.
