Cabinet Approves Phase III of Biomedical Research Career Programme

The Union Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved Phase III of the Biomedical Research Career Programme (BRCP) in collaboration with the Department of Biotechnology and the Wellcome Trust, UK. This phase, running from 2025 to 2031, aims to enhance biomedical research in India with a budget of Rs. 1500 crore. It will focus on nurturing scientific talent, promoting interdisciplinary research, and reducing regional disparities in scientific capacity.
