Cabinet Approves Railway Multi-Tracking Projects in West Bengal and Jharkhand
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has sanctioned two substantial projects to augment the Indian Railways network by 192 kilometers across five districts in West Bengal and Jharkhand. This initiative, with a budget of Rs. 4,474 crore, is set for completion by 2030-31 and aims to increase mobility, operational efficiency, and logistics connectivity in the region, aligning with the PM-Gati Shakti National Master Plan.
