Cabinet Approves Semi High-Speed Rail Project in Gujarat
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved a new Ahmedabad (Sarkhej) – Dholera Semi High-Speed Double Line rail project proposed by the Ministry of Railways. With an estimated cost of Rs. 20,667 crore, the project will increase the Indian Railways network by 134 Kilometers, offering faster connectivity between Ahmedabad and Dholera regions of Gujarat. This will be a pioneering semi high-speed project using indigenously developed technology, aimed at improving mobility and economic growth.
