Cabinet Extends PM SVANidhi Scheme for Street Vendors

The Union Cabinet has approved the restructuring and extension of the PM Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) Scheme until March 31, 2030, with a total outlay of ₹7,332 crore. The scheme aims to benefit 1.15 crore street vendors, including 50 lakh new beneficiaries, by enhancing loan amounts, introducing UPI-linked RuPay Credit Cards, and providing digital cashback incentives. The initiative focuses on holistic socio-economic development, entrepreneurship, and digital adoption for street vendors and their families.
