Cabinet Sanctions Scheme to Combat Vehicle Emissions in Delhi-NCR
The Union Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has ratified a scheme to alleviate air pollution and endorse eco-friendly transportation within the Delhi-NCR, involving a substantial Rs.9,585 crore budget. This initiative targets vehicle owners to shift from BS-IV or older emission standard vehicles to BS-VI or electric vehicles, thus diminishing vehicular emissions considerably.
