CAPF eAwas Portal Allocates Over 146,000 Housing Units to Armed Personnel

The CAPF eAwas web-portal, launched on September 1, 2022, has facilitated the online allotment of 146,566 family accommodations to personnel of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Assam Rifles (AR) by February 5, 2026. The portal has improved housing access across various forces, including the Central Reserve Police Force and Border Security Force. Additionally, 1,324 accommodations were allotted through inter-force allotment. This was announced by Minister of State for Home Affairs, Nityanand Rai, in reply to a Rajya Sabha query.
