CAQM Conducts Extensive 16-Day Inspection in NCR to Curb Air Pollution
The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) carried out a 16-day intensive enforcement drive across the National Capital Region (NCR) inspecting industries, diesel generators, construction sites, road dust, and biomass burning. The inspections revealed significant violations and led to corrective actions. Road dust levels on 400 road stretches were assessed, with 47 having high levels. Special drives noted 66 biomass burning and 54 waste accumulation instances. Necessary corrective measures are being implemented to achieve sustained air quality improvements in the region.
