CAQM Eases Restrictions as Delhi's AQI Shows Improvement

The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has lifted Stage-III actions under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) for the National Capital Region (NCR) due to a notable improvement in the Air Quality Index (AQI) of Delhi. The decision follows a consistent drop in average AQI readings, from 391 on November 23 to 327 by November 26, encouraging CAQM to relax restrictions initially imposed when AQI levels surpassed 400. However, Stages I and II of GRAP remain in effect to maintain this positive trend. CAQM will continue to monitor air quality and take necessary actions as needed. Construction sites with existing violations remain closed until further notice.
