CAQM Flying Squads Conduct Dust Inspection in Delhi
The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change conducted a road inspection drive through 22 Flying Squads from the Commission for Air Quality Management in NCR and adjoining areas across 79 road stretches in Delhi. This inspection focused on evaluating the effectiveness of dust mitigation efforts by various agencies such as Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC), and Delhi Development Authority (DDA). The findings revealed varying levels of dust, with the DDA having the highest number of high visible dust stretches. The inspections aimed to improve air quality by reducing road dust and enforcing stringent dust-control measures through 'Operation Clean Air.'
