CAQM Night Inspection in North Delhi Identifies Pollution Sources

The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) in NCR conducted a night inspection drive in North Delhi as part of 'Operation Clean Air'. The initiative aimed at preventing municipal solid waste (MSW) and biomass burning, along with waste dumping. The inspection revealed 65 incidents across Jahangir Puri, Shalimar Bagh, and Wazirpur, highlighting biomass burning as a key concern. The CAQM stressed the need for strict enforcement of waste management rules and coordination among local bodies to curb air pollution.
